The P2P standard is the most used and popular way of sharing files over the Internet and has several advantages compared to other file sharing and transferring methods, like FTP or email attachments. Still, in order to take advantage of this technology, you will need to install a P2P client. One such client is WireStack. This Windows application allows you to quickly connect to a very large P2P network and look for almost any kind of file.

After the application has been installed and launched, the user first needs to go through the configuration wizard, select the files which should be shared and also configure the speed of the Internet connection. Having completed these settings, one can start using the application. For this, he will only need to enter the name of the file he wants to find and, optionally, select the file type, which can be a video, program or audio.

After the search process is over, one will see all the found files listed in the program's interface and will also be able to see the format for each of them, the size and popularity. In case one wants to find audio files, he will also see the bit-rate and quality level for each song. Downloading files can be done just by double-clicking on any of them. What's more, audio files can be played directly in the program's interface, using the integrated player, before downloading them.

By accessing the options section of the application, one will be able to customize the program's functionality, but also change its skin or theme, by choosing one of the many skins available.
